SLOW BEEF SANDWICHES
INGREDIENTS:
DIRECTIONS Middle East Sandwiches for a crowd. Cut chuck into 1/2 in cubes. Brown a portion at a time in oil in heavy skillet. Transfer to slow cooker, add tomato paste, salt, pepper, oregano, and basil. Cover, cook on low for 4 hours. Turn to high setting. Add corn starch dissolved in water. Cook until thickened, stirring occasionally. Serve with pita bread, shredded lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers and yogurt.
