WAR CAKE

INGREDIENTS:

• 1 cp sugar
• 1 cp water or fruit juice
• 1 cp raisins
• 1/2 cp veg shortening
• 2 cp flour
• 1 t baking powder
• 1 t baking soda
• 1 t cinnamon
• 1/4 t cloves & allspice each
• 1/2 cp chopped nuts

DIRECTIONS Mix sugar, water, raisins and shortening. Boil together 5 min. Cool, then add remaining ingredients. bake (300) 1 hr.
