Beans with Chili

Ingredients:

Clean beans, add water, bring to boil, and cook until soft*. (Approximately 4 hours). After cooking add 2 teaspoons of salt. About 6 hours after cooking add l tablespoon canola oil, when beans are soft they are done.

Cut pork chops into cubes, do not throw away the bones, they add flavor, put in a frying pan, salt, pepper, and brown, be sure to get these 50% cooked, about 25 minutes on medium heat, add l to 2 teaspoons New Mexico chili powder, 2 cans tomato sauce and simmer for 30 minutes.

Serve beans, chili, flour tortillas and tossed green salad.

* Beans should be soaked over night if altitude is over 4000 feet.
