SAVORY HERB BREAD

INGREDIENTS:

DIRECTIONS Combine 1 1/2 cp flour, yeast, sugar, salt and herbs. Heat milk, water and 3 tbs butter to 130 degrees. Stir into yeast mixture. Stir in egg, whole wheat and remaining flour to make soft dough. Knead until smooth- (6 min). 

Cover, let rest 10 min. On floured surface, divide dough in 3 equal pieces. Roll into 14 inch rope. Braid and pinch ends. Place in Loaf pan. Cover, let rise 45 min. Bake (375) 25-30 min. Melt remaining butter, brush on loaf and sprinkle with additional herbs for garnish. Remove from pan and cool on wire rack.
